700 visitors celebrate the PUR cover band “Abenteuerland” at the Huxarium Gartenpark in Höxter

Höxter (TK). It was an evening full of nostalgia and goosebump-inducing moments: Around 700 visitors flocked to the Huxarium Garden Park over the weekend to see the PUR cover band “Abenteuerland” perform live. Held amid the unique atmosphere of the archaeological park, the grounds were transformed for a few hours into a large open-air stage where the biggest hits of the iconic Swabian band PUR rang out. People danced, partied, and sang along! Hearts were beating a thousand times faster at the Huxarium Garden Park!
“For many, PUR’s music is downright addictive,” raved fans, who sang along to every song, knowing the lyrics by heart. The cover band brought classics like “Drachen sollen fliegen,” “Lena,” “Wenn sie diesen Tango hört,” and “Funkelperlenaugen” back to life and transported the audience right into “Abenteuerland” through their music. For nearly 15 years, the group has been thrilling PUR fans throughout Germany, offering an alternative during the long breaks between the original band’s major tours. In doing so, “Abenteuerland” succeeds in authentically bringing the unmistakable sound and emotional intensity of Hartmut Engler and his band to the stage.
PUR itself has been considered a phenomenon for over 30 years: More than 12 million albums sold, sold-out tours, and timeless hits have made them the most successful German-language band—and also one that sparks passionate debate. In Höxter, at any rate, the enthusiasm was unbroken. Whether young or old—the audience danced, sang, and dreamed together under the open sky. In the end, there was a standing ovation for a show that proved: even a cover can touch the heart and soul.
