700 visitors celebrate PUR cover band "Abenteuerland" at Huxarium Garden Park in Höxter
Höxter (TK)u). It was an evening full of nostalgia and goosebump moments: around 700 visitors flocked to the Huxarium Garden Park over the weekend to experience the PUR cover band "Abenteuerland" live. Organized amid the special atmosphere of the archaeological park, the grounds were transformed for a few hours into a large open-air stage where the greatest hits of the cult Swabian band PUR were played. There was dancing, celebrating, and singing along! Hearts beat much faster in Huxarium Garden Park!
"PUR music is downright addictive for many," enthused fans, who sang along to every song, knowing all the lyrics by heart. The cover band revived classics such as "Drachen sollen fliegen" (Dragons Should Fly), "Lena," "Wenn sie diesen Tango hört" (When She Hears This Tango), and "Funkelperlenaugen" (Sparkling Pearl Eyes), transporting the audience musically into the heart of "Abenteuerland" (Adventure Land). For almost 15 years, the band has been thrilling PUR fans throughout Germany and offering an alternative during the long breaks between the original band's major tours. Abenteuerland succeeds in authentically bringing the unmistakable sound and emotional intensity of Hartmut Engler and his band to the stage.
PUR itself has been considered a phenomenon for over 30 years: more than 12 million records sold, sold-out tours, and timeless hits have made them the most successful German-language band—and also one that is passionately debated. In Höxter, at least, the enthusiasm was unbroken. Young and old alike danced, sang, and dreamed together under the open sky. At the end, there was a standing ovation for a show that proved that even a cover can touch the heart and soul.
