HEMMOOR. The city council wanted to organize an event for the citizens of Hemmoor on the new town hall square and found an experienced organizer in the Culturkreis team. So on Saturday, the first "Open Air at the Town Hall" kicked off with the Pur cover band "Abenteuerland" under the motto "Free & Outdoors." Shortly before the opening act, the young Stade trio "Dreiklangzelt," took to the stage on the town hall square, a heavy thunderstorm ended, leaving visitors to the increasingly crowded town hall square to celebrate in the dry for the rest of the evening at "Open Air at the Town Hall."

"It was really packed, and the audience celebrated heartily and peacefully," said Birte Zöllner, chairwoman of the Hemmoor Cultural Circle, happily. When the Pur cover band "Abenteuerland" took the stage, up to 1,000 visitors had already gathered in the town hall square. The five musicians from Braunschweig treated concertgoers to a show lasting over two and a half hours, including several encores that were loudly demanded. Whether "Lena," "Funkelperlenaugen," or "Drachen sollen fliegen" – the band, led by their enthusiastic singer Carsten Siebert, performed a wide range of Pur hits. Not only were the numerous listeners blown away by the first "Open Air am Rathaus," but Hemmoor's city director Dirk Brauer was also enthusiastic and, after this promising premiere, is now naturally hoping for a continuation of the "free & outdoors" concept.

Since an association cannot manage this on its own, it is dependent on support. "We need to sit down together and take stock. The donation behavior of many visitors was definitely positive," Birte Zöllner told our newspaper.
