Castle house on the way to Adventure Land

(November 19, 2017) "Come with us to Adventure Land," sang the musicians of the PUR cover band "Abenteuerland" on Saturday evening in front of a sold-out crowd at Burghaus Bielstein, transporting guests to the land of PUR hits. The third concert in the "Seven Nights of Tribute" series attracted an audience that was particularly enthusiastic about singing along and knew all the lyrics.

As everywhere else, the women were enthusiastic participants, singing and clapping along, Heinze noted. However, his "listen carefully" was not really necessary in Bielstein – the men were also swaying and singing along. The audience also knew the lyrics to Reinhard Mey's song "Der Mann am Fenster" (The Man at the Window). The band's motto, "Abenteuerland," would now be "Ein graues Haar" (A Gray Hair), like the PUR song from 1995. The band "Abenteuerland" has been around since 2008. They haven't been playing unplugged for very long. But they always have a lot of fun – and that came across.

When they started with "Abenteuerland," they had no idea how many hits PUR had, Heinze revealed. It was amazing how many songs the concert guests could sing along to. They themselves were on an "educational trip" at PUR concerts. When everyone jumped up and sang along to "Frau Schneider," it was clear that the song had to be included in their program. And so it was also part of the show in Bielstein. Over the nine years, they changed their program from time to time. Ballads such as "Prinzessin" were of course just as much a part of the program as "Hab' mich wieder mal an dir betrunken." The five guys from the original PUR band started out small in 1975 in Bietigheim near Stuttgart in Swabia. However, success did not come until 1988 with the album "Wie im Film." When "Seiltänzertraum" was released in 1993, PUR achieved a major success. At the beginning of 2000, the new single "Adler sollen fliegen" was released to coincide with the ski jumping season – one of the few songs that "Abenteuerland" did not include. However, it did include many, many of PUR's other great songs. Among them was "Funkelperlenaugen." Also nice to sing along to and actually to sit down to is "Drachen sollen fliegen" (Kites Should Fly). Totally touching, if only because of the lyrics: "When she hears this tango" – sung with a lot of feeling. There is also a special version of this song, sung by Daniel Wirtz when PUR frontman Hartmut Engler took part in "Sing meinen Song" (Sing My Song). And "Wo sind all die Indianer hin?" (Where have all the Indians gone?), they are in Burghaus Bielstein. At least those who can sing along to this song, and singer Carsten Heinze donned his feather headdress accordingly. One guest loudly demanded "Lena" several times, but instead they sang "Weil Du bei mir bist" (Because you are with me) for him. But of course, this cult PUR song also came – almost at the very end. Naturally, the five musicians couldn't leave without encores. "Ich denk an Dich," "Geweint vor Glück," and "Bis wir uns wiedersehen" (to sing along to) were just as well received as the entire program of the evening.
