Eltonology – Elton John Tribute Band

Eltonology - Elton John Tribute Band 1
This Elton John tribute show pays homage to one of the greatest artists of the 20th century: Sir Elton John.
An artist whose melodies have influenced all generations since the 1970s. With more than 550 million records sold, Sir Elton John is one of the most successful musicians in history. With the new version of Candle in the Wind in 1997, he not only paid tribute to the late Lady Diana—the song became the best-selling single of all time, with 37 million copies sold.
"Eltonology"was born from a dream and has already brought fulfillment and happiness to many lives! The first adventure began in 2016. Impressed by Elton John's musical career and overwhelmed by the breathtaking live performances of the English artist, who has inspired several generations, drummer and percussionist Nicolas Kieffer and his then sidekick began to imagine the simplest and most authentic way to capture the essence of Sir Elton John's most popular songs on stage.

At this point, Nicolas and Frederic decided to take inspiration from the legendary 1979 album "Live in Moscow," featuring Elton John and his longtime musical partner, percussionist Ray Cooper. At the end of 2016, driven and encouraged by this first collaboration and the warm reception from the audience, the young duo decided to become a more dynamic trio and brought Perrine Diehl on board on bass. Nicolas left the "percussion" section and took over the drums.
In 2018, Eltonology embarked on a new challenge: a brand-new show based on the "Million Dollar Piano Concert" that toured throughout Europe. Gabriel Palmieri joined the team as guitarist, followed by two backing singers and a percussionist.
At the end of 2020, however, the original duo split up. Nicolas Kieffer remains on board and takes over the project, supported by Perrine Diehl and Gabriel Palmieri. Guitarist and singer Maxime Lacote soon joins the crew, as does Sébastien Buffet (percussion/backing vocals) and Germain Destremont (keyboards/acoustic guitar/backing vocals). After an audition, lots of laughter, and a few drinks, Thomas Février emerged as the band's new frontman.

In 2021, with the support of costume designer Geraldine Mamaar Dine, a brand new Eltonology show was created, staying true to Sir Elton's unique exuberance and rock energy from the 70s and 80s, but crazier and bolder than ever before.
