Live music is finally back: Band Shiver delights Coldplay fans

Plettenberg. Live music at last! Despite persistent drizzle, around 70 music fans gathered in front of the town hall on Thursday evening (July 8) to enjoy the show. And the Coldplay tribute band Shiver was bursting with enthusiasm, as it was their first gig after the long enforced break due to coronavirus.

Coldplay is one of the most successful bands of the 2000s worldwide. The professional musicians of Shiver cover the extensive repertoire of the band led by frontman Chris Martin. This also means that singer, keyboardist, and guitarist Sven speaks exclusively in English with the audience. The Plettenberg audience celebrated gratefully to songs such as Clocks, Viva la Vida, and the latest hit Higher Power. Despite the socially distanced checkerboard seating arrangement on the town hall forecourt, the atmosphere was lively.
