Widespread party in the Baltic resort

The festival in the harbor was a real highlight. "How many visitors we had—no idea. Many thousands. It was an open festival with people constantly coming and going. And on Saturday and Sunday evening, during the public viewing of the cup clash between Bayern and Eintracht Frankfurt, and during the performance of the Pur cover band 'Abenteuerland', not only was the large harbor forecourt packed to the rafters, but visitors were even standing shoulder to shoulder on the harbor promenade," said Karsten Jurk, event manager at the organizer Touristik Service Kühlungsborn.

The concept—presenting lots of maritime activities and offerings for children during the day and focusing on crowd-pullers in the evening—was a complete success. Added to this were the wonderful early summer weather over all four days and the harbor atmosphere. "Everything came together perfectly," said Jurk.
