The Devotees thrill audiences at the Innenhof Festival in Villingen-Schwenningen
The courtyard was also sold out on the final evening, Saturday, August 10, despite the completely different style of music. The Devotees impressively demonstrated why Depeche Mode is one of the most successful music groups in the world.
The three Hungarians performed the sound of the British cult band with true dedication and perfection, bringing the hard synthesizer sounds and sometimes dark but always driving motifs, as well as Dave Gahan's charismatic voice, to the small stage with astonishing skill, giving the increasingly enthusiastic audience goosebumps.
"If you close your eyes, you couldn't tell whether it was the original line-up or not," summed up one enthusiastic fan who had already seen Depeche Mode in concert. The music of the 80s and 90s in particular was omnipresent that evening, and after two hours without a break or even an announcement, the evening was over.
